Yes. Every school can start with a 30-day free trial on its own data, with onboarding included when you continue. The live demo is open before that, with fictional data and no sign-up.
Is GST included?
No. Every price on this page excludes GST. Australian schools are invoiced with GST added, and the invoice shows both figures.
What does onboarding involve, and what does it cost?
Standard onboarding is included in the plan: initial setup, configuring your supported connectors, and one standard data import. We scope and quote a complex migration or a custom connector as a fixed price before any work starts, and the first invoice matches the quote.
Can we self-host?
Yes. The same software runs on your own server, for 15% less than managed hosting. You look after the infrastructure and backups; software updates and support stay included. You can move between self-hosted and managed hosting later, because the export is the same either way.
What is a Business seat?
An account for staff who do the business side of IT: raising and approving charges, costs and purchasing, building reports, and writing documentation. It has no device, identity or technical controls. Plugboard works out the seat from the permissions each person is given, so there is nothing to assign by hand. Anyone who only views, raises requests, comments or approves is free.
What is the AI allowance?
Hosted plans include 5,000 assistant calls a month. Above it, hosted calls are A$25 per 1,000. Hosted AI runs on open models that DigitalOcean serves in the United States, pseudonymised before every call. With a local model on your own infrastructure, or your own Anthropic or OpenAI-compatible key, there is no charge from us at all. How the AI works
How do we cancel?
The agreement runs for the term in your order and renews unless either side gives 30 days' written notice before the end of the term. Choose monthly billing if you would rather not commit to a year up front. The terms have the detail.
Can we get our data out?
Yes, all of it, in a machine-readable format, whenever you want and after you stop. After termination we keep your data for the window in your order so you can finish a migration, then delete it, including from backups.
